1. Working principle
20W solar street light: it adopts an LED solid-state package and belongs to the type of cold light source, which is convenient for transportation and installation. LED, or light-emitting diode, is a solid-state semiconductor device that can convert electric energy directly into visible light.
Traditional street lamp: electrodeless lamp consists of three parts: high-frequency generator, coupler, and bulb. It is inductively coupled to the lamp through the electromagnetic field of the high-frequency generator, which ionizes the gas avalanche in the lamp and forms plasma. The excited atoms in the plasma radiate ultraviolet light when they return to the ground state. The phosphor on the inner wall of the bulb is excited by ultraviolet to produce visible light.
2. Safety performance
Solar street lamp: 12V low voltage power supply, no potential safety hazard.
Traditional street lamp: with 220V alternating current, it has strict and high requirements for line safety. The longer it is used, the higher the potential safety hazard.
3. Service life
Solar street lamp: the service life of solar panel is 25 years, the service life of light source can reach 100000 hours, and the design service life of 5-8 years electrodeless lamp for gel battery is 10000 hours
Traditional street lamp: 5000 hours.
4. Energy conservation and environmental protection
Solar street lamp: self-sufficient and energy-saving by using solar energy; no harmful substances, no pollution; no stroboscopic LED light, stable light intensity.
Traditional street lamp: there are few spare parts factories of electrodeless lamp, and the corresponding price is on the high side; high-frequency electrodeless lamp has a built-in electromagnetic generator of 2.65mhz oscillation frequency, which is easy to produce bad magnetic field and cause electromagnetic interference, with high energy consumption, and some countries and regions have been banned.
5. Installation and maintenance
Solar street lamp: independent installation and debugging are not limited by cables; it is allowed to change the use position freely; the lighting duration of a single street lamp can be set, and automatic control can be realized without additional investment; later maintenance is simple and convenient.
Traditional streetlights: installation and commissioning are unified. If there is a problem in a certain location, it may cause many streetlights to fail to work. Later maintenance personnel need to be familiar with the embedded situation of underground cables. Once the position is fixed, it will be very difficult to change. To realize automatic control, clock equipment must be added.
